Lee Anderson, Ph.D.
is a licensed psychologist in private practice, having earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. She began her career at the Alfred I. duPont Institute in 1978. For the past 27 years, Dr. Anderson has provided a wide range of mental health services in our community. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Delaware Psychological Association, and the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Dr. Anderson devotes a large part of her practice to children and adults suffering from loss.
After the death of her own father in 1998, Dr. Anderson moved beyond the walls of her office and reached out to the Riverview Cemetery community. She asked people to introduce her to their loved ones by sharing information, memories, photos, and stories. And people responded with joy! This book is a result of that collaborative effort. It is a tribute to the value of each life - no matter how long or short. The love lives on and connects us to past and future generations.
